Casino addict arrested
A person who spent more than Rs. 2,400 million
at a casino was arrested by the Special Crime Investigation Unit
Mirihana yesterday. This person had been issued warrants by court on
more than eight occasions and was absconding from the law
enforcement authorities for many years.

Passport racket busted at Maligawatta
Maligawatta police arrested five suspects
including an elderly woman who had allegedly conducted an illegal
passport issuing centre where photographs of the passports were
changed and fake ones fixed on to the original passports.
