ETF donates Rs 70 m as Grade 5 scholarship grants

A financial donation worth of Rs. 70 million from the Employees Trust
Fund (ETF) was made as scholarship grants to nearly 4,654 students who
excelled in last year's Grade Five scholarship examination, at Temple
Trees yesterday.
EPF Board Chairman K.M.A. Godawattha presented the cheque to People's
Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa in the presence of President Mahinda
Rajapaksa. The recipients were selected after scrutinizing a number of
application forms received from all districts. Initially a sum of Rs.
15,000 will be deposited in their Sisu Udana People's Bank accounts.
