Sharp drop in water levels



The Siyambalawatta Wewa which has dried up

Water levels in all reservoirs have dropped sharply due to the continuous dry weather.

Many small tanks have completely dried up. Paddy cultivation in the area has also been adversely affected. About 60 acres of paddy cultivation in Pahala Diggala Siyambalawatte Wewa and Damana Wewa area have been affected the prevailing dry weather. Paddy cultivation has also been destroyed by cattle.
