Fever for three days?:

Seek immediate treatment - ministry

Persons suffering from fever for over three days should seek medical treatment from a state hospital, a Health Ministry spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, a viral fever similar to dengue, is spreading in the country and a large number of persons have been infected.

"All symptoms of this viral fever is similar to dengue fever symptoms," he said.

"The platelet count of patients suffering from viral and dengue fever go down. It is important to seek medical treatment to avoid complications that can arise at a later stage," he added.
