Three arrested for robbing salesmen

Ingiriya Police arrested three suspects wanted in connection with a robbery of nearly Rs 6,000 from three salesmen at the Ingiriya Poson Zone recently.

A group of three men, who introduced themselves as policemen, had robbed the money from the travelling salesmen who came from Moratuwa area to Ingiriya Poson zone for business activities. The arrest was made by Ingiriya Police constables 38835 Jagath Weerathunga, 42933 Ramanayaka, OIC Crime Investigation Unit K G Wijerathna on the instructions of OIC Ingiriya Police Prasanna Welikala.
