CH-Police match should be a thriller
CH and FC which is desperately in need of a victory after two
successive defeats at the hands of CR and FC (8-14) and Kandy SC (19-41)
will play host to vastly improved Police Sports Club at Maitland
Crescent tomorrow.
The Policemen are in a buoyant mood after their sensational win over
the formidable CR and FC and will go all out to topple CH and FC and
notch up their second successive win.
The lads from Maitland Crescent should come up with a much better
performance if they hope to emerge victorious and stay in contention for
the 'A' division league title.
They will hope that their new halves combination of Tuan Shamrock and
Arfath Meedin will click today as they have two hard runners in centres
Salusalu and Jayah while on the wings they will have the services of
skipper Lakala Perera who has stood out with his daring runs down the
flank.
Up front, Police's power-packed forwards spearheaded by that terrific
player in the loose, skipper T D Seneviratne should prevail over the CH
'eight' with Sivadason, Malith Hettiarachchi, Archarige, Dinesh Kumara
and Indrachapa likely to give another sterling display.
