Ranaviru upahara in Ingiriya

Ranaviru Sewa Sangam, Ingiriya held a special Ranaviru Upahara to pay
tribute to late and living war heroes who dedicated their time, energy
and life for the war against terrorism.
Ingiriya police station OIC, Prasanna Welikala addressing the
gathering said that it was the duty of all the people in Sri Lanka to
recognise and respect those who have sacrificed their lives and
contributed to the restoration of peace.
Horana Pradeshiya Sabha President Yamith Chandana Hathurusinghe said
that the Ranaviru Sewa Sangam has set an example to the entire country
by arranging such an event.
Ven Handapangoda Sirinivasa Thera, Horana Pradeshiya Sabha Vice
President Ashoka Ranathunga, Army Lieutenant Y P N Pushpakumara,
soldiers of the Ingiriya village and their family members, members of
the Ranaviru Sewa Sangam President Susila Ranjani, Secretary T K
Wanniarachchi, Treasurer Gayani Sugandhika and members of the Ingiriya
police station and a large crowd participated. |
