Cancer Society A'pura Branch fund to help patients

The Anuradhapura Branch of the Sri Lanka Cancer Society has launched a special fund to assist needy cancer patients warded at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and others attending clinics to purchase much needed drugs.

Helping hand
Contributions can be made to Account Number 1479945, Sri Lanka Cancer Society Anuradhapura Branch, Bank of Ceylon Super Grade Branch, Anuradhapura.

Branch President Dr Upul Munasinghe said nearly 80 cancer patients receiving indoor treatment in wards No 8 and 38 of the hospital are in need of funds to purchase the costly drugs prescribed to them which are in short supply due to the poor economic condition of their families.

He said public contributions are most welcome for the fund set up by his branch to assist these needy patients.

Those wishing to assist this humanitarian endeavour are requested to remit their financial contributions to account number 1479945 opened in the name of the Sri Lanka Cancer Society Anuradhapura Branch at the Bank of Ceylon Super Grade Branch, Anuradhapura.
