TOYP Awards in August

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Sri Lanka will hold the Ten
Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of Sri Lanka Award 2011 in August 2011.
JCI Sri Lanka National President Jiffrey Zulfer said the TOYP awards
ceremony is being held for the 31st consecutive year since its inception
in 1980, with a view to identifying the outstanding young talents in Sri
Lanka while giving them due recognition for their significant
achievements in respective fields.
Nominations are now open to exceptional young achievers between 18-40
years of age and those who wish to apply for the TOYP Awards needs to
send in their nominations along with entry coupons published in daily
and weekend newspapers from June 8 onwards.
Categories for nominations would be business, economic,
entrepreneurial, political, legal, public administration, academic
leadership accomplishments, contribution to arts, culture, literature,
media, children, world peace, human rights, medical research,
innovations and other areas. In addition JCI expects to record the
highest ever entrants' participation for the TOYP Awards 2011 this year.
Completed nomination forms of interested candidates should be mailed
to Project Chairman, TOYP 2011 Secretariat, 185/1, Dharmapala Mawatha,
Colombo 7 on or before July 29. More information pertaining to the
