Ministry to help youth find employment

Youth Affairs and Skills Development Ministry will extend its fullest cooperation to the youth who had successfully completed vocational training under the programmes conducted by the Vocational Training Authority, in their quest for employment, said Minister Dullas Alahapperuma.

He was addressing over 150 youth from Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Jaffna who had received their training at the Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority.

He appealed to the Northern youth population to construct a bridge between the North and the South and have more dealings with the youth in the South.

The minister also called on the Northern youth to take the message of the South to the people of the North and said that he was confident that they could live with their families in close cooperation with the people of the South.

Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority Chairman Dhammika Hewapathirana was also present on the occasion.
