Sahan takes Customs to Div. II final
Sri Lanka Customs booked their place in the Division two cricket
tournament final when they beat Kelaniya CC in the first innings in the
semi final match played at Thurstan Ground. Customs captain Sahan
Hettiarachchi scored 103 which helped them to pile up 282 in their first
innings supported by Shan Fernando and Rukshan Sooriyaarachchi's half
centuries.
In reply, Kelaniya CC were all out for 157. Hemaka Ariyaratne's
hatrick and Rukshan Sooriyarachchi 3 for 38 did the most of the damage.
Vidusha Jayasinghe managed to score 53 but the other batsman failed make
an impact.
Sri Lanka Customs were all out for 153 in the second innings when the
bad light stopped play. Rukshan Bandara of Kelaniya CC bagged five for
42 while Shehan Niwanka took three wickets.
