Exhibition to promote women's industrial products

A discussion had taken place recently at the Ministry of Child Development and Women's Affairs, to conduct an exhibition in Batticaloa district to promote and market industrial products of women under the organization named Sthree Mela founded by former Minister Ferial Ashraff and the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Singapore.

It had been decided to implement the above project throughout Sri Lanka to promote the marketing of industrial products of women, to overcome the shortcomings faced by them and help the growth of their industries.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Child Development and Women's Affairs Al Haj M L A M Hizbullah, former minister and other senior officials.

The main objective was focused on exhibiting the industrial products of all women in Sri Lanka, giving them the necessary advice and helping them to get aid and cooperation from local and foreign organizations for the growth of their industries.

It was also decided to hold special discussions and exhibitions in this regard throughout Sri Lanka.
