Furkan appointed to TFIL Board

Imran Furkan was recently appointed to the Board of Trade Finance and Investments Limited (TFIL) as an Independent Non Executive Director. Furkan will also serve as the Chairman of the Company’s Audit and Integrated Risk Management Committee while also being a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Trade Finance and Investments Limited (TFIL) is a finance company licenced by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The principal lines of business in which the company engages in include finance, leasing, hire purchase, security loans, personal loans and acceptance of fixed deposits from the public.

Furkan is a Chartered Management Accountant by profession and also functions as a Consultant Economic Analyst.

He is presently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Sri Lanka Press Institute.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK as well as an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Edith Cowan University of Australia.
