Easy for Vidyartha

Vidyartha College Kandy cruised to their seventh successive victory when they defeated traditional rivals Ananda College 43-11 in their inter school annual rugby encounter played for the William Gopallawa Shield at Longden Place yesterday.

Vidyartha also kept their unbeaten record this season and went on to seal the game while collecting their points from four goals and three tries after having led 14-11 at half time.

The Anandians after a promising start failed to maintain the same momentum in the second half as they ended up while scoring a solitary try, one penalty and one drop goal. CD
