'Two-toned women'
Women with normal faces but brightly coloured bodies have been
spotted all over Colombo and the adjoining cities. These women seem to
be normal, except that from their neck down they are painted in bright
greens, blues and reds leading people to wonder what the meaning behind
this could be?
Further perplexing, is the fact that the women have been spotted in
normal clothes going about their daily business, alone, not in groups.
Other than the colour of their skin there seems to be nothing unnatural
about their behaviour, leading some to wonder if this is just a new
fashion trend, an exaggeration of body art perhaps?
Or perhaps this is a form of protest? Perhaps their bright skin
colour signifies a protest about unity despite race, or the bright red
signifies anti-violence? However, if this were true, wouldn't they meet
in groups? Wouldn't they be more vocal about their cause?
It seems all we can do now is speculate, while we wait for this
mystery to reveal itself. |
