Experience Odel in Kandy

Fashionistas in the hill capital flocked to the Kandy City Centre on
May 20 to get a taste of the ‘Odel’ fiesta which raised curtains in the
city. Located on the third floor of the building, the Odel store
comprises popular features such as Embark, Backstage, souvenirs along
with the ladies, gents and children’s departments. The spacious 4,200
square feet setting is filled with some of the latest fashion trends
that have hit the country and innovative designs.
“Odel, Kandy will have some of the designs available in Colombo but
we hope to handpick the designs as the shop is set in a smaller ground
than our Colombo store. We have chosen to showcase outfits most suited
for those in Kandy so that they can add some elegance to their outlook,”
Odel founder and CEO Otara Gunewardene said.
She added that the move to Kandy had been long overdue and had been a
much anticipated event by customers as well as the Odel team.
“There has been big demand. It was just a matter of picking the right
time to make our move to Kandy and now that we are here, the response is
overwhelming,” Otara said.
Asked if they would be opening Odel outlets in other big cities in
the isle she said that the idea is possible.
“Right now we are concentrating on giving the customers the best of
the Odel experience in Kandy. We will also be opening a new store in
Wattala soon,” she added. |
