Probe into public complaints soon

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption yesterday said that investigations into public complaints received by the commission will commence soon.

New commission members assumed duties on May 16. The commission in a release said that islandwide raids and inquiries on assets and prosecution of persons who are suspected to have been involved in bribery and corruption would be carried out by the commission.

The public can make complaints to the commission on 0112584872 , 0112586841 and 0112586851 or hotline 1954. The complaints by fax or email. The fax number is 0112595045 and email address [email protected] and [email protected]. complaints can also be sent to 36, Malalasekera Mawatha Colombo. 07

The commission Director General is Lakshmi Janawickrame.
