Warm weather to continue till May end

The warm weather in the coastal areas would continue till May, said Meteorological Department Director S.H. Kariawasam. The moisture conditions in the atmosphere at present is high.

"The percentage of water vapor in the atmosphere is high. It results in an increase in body heat and gives an uncomfortable feeling," the Director said. This situation is expected to change by May end with the beginning of the South West monsoon.
