Batticaloa shooting: Four arrested

Four persons were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Batticaloa in connection with the killing of Resettlement Deputy Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan’s Coordinating Secretary.

Police Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody told the Daily News that the suspects were residents of Batticaloa town. Resettlement Deputy Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan’s Coordinating Secretary Rasamanikam Madyalahan (32) was shot dead at his residence in Batticaloa on May 12. He was shot at by two persons came riding a motorcycle.
