Lankan fishermen arrested in Indian waters

Ten Sri Lankan fishermen who had crossed the Indian maritime borders, have been arrested by the Indian Coast Guards yesterday morning. These fishermen on board two vessels, had left from Tangalle two days ago. According to Fishing and Aquatic Resources Ministry spokesman, Sri Lankan High Commission officials were having discussions with Indian authorities to ensure their early release.
