Girls really know how to have fun |
For the ninth consecutive year, the North American Women's
Association (NAWA) is organizing their annual fund raisers the 'Mardi
Gras Charity Ball 2011'. This event will take place at the Cinnamon
Grand Hotel on Saturday May 21.
Its said to be a very colourful event with guest wearing costumes
with bead chains and feather boas. It would be a New Orleans, carnival
style evening with prizes and surprises, buffet dinner and fun to keep
one dancing throughout the night to the sounds of Dee Zone and DJ music.
NAWA will also be celebrating its 59th anniversary this year.
Established in 1952 the organization's foundation was to provide
assistance to expatriate women that had relocated to Sri Lanka.
Through general meetings and handbooks these women had the
opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences of the region with
one another, which further aided in their ability to adjust to a new
region and culture.
More masks and fun |
NAWA's focus is to better the lives of those less fortunate now and
in the future. |
