Tharunyata Hetak 'Sil' campaign for 2,600 youth

A 'Sil' campaign with the participation of 2600 youth was held at the Maharagama National Youth Services Council premises yesterday to mark the 2600th Sambuddhathva Jayanthi. The event was organized by the 'Tharunyata Hetak' organization in collaboration with the National Youth Services Council and the Ministry of Youth Affairs. The Mahamevuna Meditation Centre conducted the programme.

The opening 'Dhamma Desana' was delivered by Ven. Aludeniye Subhoda Thera. President Mahinda Rajapaksa too joined others in listening to the 'Dhamma Desana'.

Ministers Dullas Alahapperuma, Bandula Gunewardena, chairman of the 'Tharunyata Hetak' organization Namal Rajapaksa MP and other dignitaries too took part in the event.
