Bourse continues weak momentum

The market remained weak during yesterday's trading in spite of gains.

ASI dropped 38.21 points (-0.52%) to close at 7,339.65 and MPI lost 19.59 points (-0.29%) to end day's operations at 6,740.82 points.

National Lanka Finance Plc (Rs 170.5mn) was the top contributor to the turnover followed by Browns & Company Plc (Rs 134 mn) and Lanka Ventures Plc (Rs 79 mn).

Furthermore heavy investor participation was seen in counters such as Bogala Graphite Lanka Plc, Pelawatte Sugar industries Plc and Amana Takaful Plc. Lanka Securities Research
