Vidyartha record 4th win

Vidyartha College scored their fourth successive win for the season when they trounced C W W Kannangara Vidyalaya by 63 points (4 goals, 7 tries) to nil in their schools under 19 Division One Segment B rugby tournament match played at Nittawela yesterday. At the lemons Vidyartha led 22-0.

The winners completely outplayed their opponents and the ruggerites from Kannangara had little or no answer to the power play exuded by the Kandy school.

Vidyartha College displayed pleasing form after their close call last week when they overcome Mahanama College by a single point 37-36.

Vidyartha College scored their tries through skipper and lock forward Ayesh Galahawela (3), No 8 Jason Dissanayake (2), winger Supun Dissanayake (1), winger R B Bandara (1), centre Danushka Talwatte (2), Chamath Fernando (1) and substitute centre Ravindu Perera (1). No 8 Jason Dissanayake and scrum half Chamath Fernando goalled two tries each.
