Sportee Sports Club Matara demolished Passara Cricket Club in just 90 minutes to advance to the next round of the division III inter-club cricket tournament. The match was played at the Uayanwatte Stadium, Matara on Sunday.

Winning the toss Passara Cricket Club opted to bat and were all out for a meagre 45 runs in 15 overs. Left arm leg spinner Priyantha Uyanahewa did the damage by claiming six wickets for fifteen runs. Nadun Tharanga took 2/12. M Faiz was the only batsman to enter double figures and was unbeaten on 10.

Sportee SC scored the winning runs in 3.2 overs and it took only 15 minutes. Left handers Krishanta Rangana (34 not out with five boundaries and a six) and Madhusanka Ekanayake (10 not out with two fours) saw their team reach 49/0 to win the game.
