'Joint action needed to defeat foreign powers'

Sri Lanka National People's Party Leader Dr K A S Sharma has called for joint action among the people to defeat foreign powers trying to harm the freedom achieved for the people by President Mahinda Rajapaksa after completely wiping out terrorism from the country.

He further said that the President had built a bridge between the Sinhala and Tamil people joining the North and South and the Tamil people who suffered at the hands of the LTTE terrorists for 30 years are today enjoying more benefits of peace other than any other ethnic group. Dr Sharma made these remarks at a media briefing held at the Kandy Bake House auditorium yesterday (5).
