Thilanga to attend Parliamentarian Workshop

Thilanga Sumathipala MP will leave for Singapore to attend the WTO - TFCTN Parliamentarian Workshop on International Trade representing the government. John Amarathunga MP will be representing the Opposition. The workshop will be held from May 4-6, at Marina Mandarin Hotel and is organized by the World Trade Organisation and Temasek Foundation Centre for Trade and Negotiations.

WTO rules and the new realities of a globalized world trade, dynamics of negotiations in the WTO, managing disputes over trade, regional and bilateral trade agreements, opportunities and challenges for developing countries: Aid for trade and capacity building, e-Government in Singapore and climate change and trade are the areas which will be covered during the workshop.
