Fresh developments on Report:

Govt will respond appropriately - Minister

The government will make all appropriate clarifications and comments to any fresh developments concerning the controversial Darusman Report, Cabinet spokesman and Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.

Addressing the weekly Cabinet press briefing held at the Information Department yesterday he said that the government has adequately responded to the report in and outside Parliament and has properly conveyed the government’s stance to the UN as well.

The minister said that the government is well prepared and very confident in facing this issue.

He also said that the government is having a continuous process of cultivating relations with friendly nations within and outside the Non Aligned Movement, including western nations.

The minister stated that the government will not hesitate to respond to it in an appropriate manner. He was responding to a question raised by a journalist.
