Shuttlers Fest Badminton from May 4 to 13

The Division of Physical Education together with the badminton team of University of Moratuwa is organizing the Shuttlers Fest (UMISF) - International Badminton Championship 2011 from May 4 to 13, 2011, at the University Indoor Gymnasium.

This is the first time a tournament of this nature is being held in Sri Lanka and it will be organized under two main categories; The All Island Age Group Championship and the International University Badminton Championship.

The International University Badminton Championship will be held with the participation of University teams from India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia, alongside all 13 Universities of Sri Lanka and two leading institutes of higher education (SLIIT and APIIT). Organized for the 3rd consecutive year, All Island Age Group Championship will pave way for the best young talent in the country to show their talents under five different age groups.
