Building for school

A two storied building is to be set up at Keerimalai Naguleswara Maha
Vidyalaya.
This school was totally damaged during the ethnic conflict. The
school is now functioning at Sandilipay. Rs 82 lakhs has been allocated
for the new building.
Jaffna Bishop Dr. Thomas Saundranayagam handed over 70 houses to
Gurunagar residents affected by tsunami. These houses were built by
Carithas organisation at Ven Puravi Allaipiddy.
The Bishop, Navy Commander Capt. Dissanayake, Catholic priests, the
former Jaffna District Director of Caritas were taken on a procession to
the 12 houses that were handed over to the new settlers from Gurunagar.
A cultural programme by the children of Gurunagar Yakapar parish
followed. |
