SLVBF felicitates senior administrators
The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVBF) held its Annual General
Meeting recently at which four senior volleyball administrators of
yesteryear were felicitated in recognition of their yeoman service to
uplift the national sport of Sri Lanka.

The four senior member who were felicitated are G T S K
Abeysiriwardena, Joe Jayawardena, W H Somapala and W Paranagama. The
President of SLVBF and Minister of Foreign Employment and Welfare, Dilan
Perera presented them with mementos at the special occasion.
These four gentlemen had been involved in the volleyball
administration from early as 1960s and continue to hold office at
present in administrative capacity. Besides, they had held various
positions in the field of volleyball and served the game with
distinction. According to the President of the SLVBF it was a long felt
need to felicitate those volleyball greats who have lived with the game
of volleyball through out their entire lives. |
