Retires after 30 years

Tea Small Holdings Development Authority (TSHDA) General Manager S D Nandasena retired from the service after a distinguished career of 30 years at the Authority on April 18.

A graduate in Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya, Nandasena served as an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya and later from 1980 served as a planning officer in the Tea Small Holdings Development Authority.

He served the Authority as Assistant General Manager (Development), Deputy General Manager (Development) and as General Manager of the Authority in which capacity he served for 6 years.

He was obtained a post graduate degree from the Netherlands Social Study Institute for rural Policies and was a pioneer in the Theshakthi program.
