Iraqi style destruction of Libya

Arms traders (merchants of death), oil tycoons and all other businessmen are ready with their bags to reconstruct Libya?

The NATO military strikes on Libya, claimed to free Libyans from Gaddafi’s 42-year-long dictatorship, were supposed to be “humanitarian intervention”. However more than three weeks later, killing scores of civilians, Gaddafi’s forces continue to advance forcing revolutionaries to flee for life.

Nicolas Sarkozy David Cameron Barack Obama

NATO interference in Libya is not to liberate Libyans but to help themselves by putting Libyans against each other as they did in Iraq. Libyans who trusted NATO to remove Gaddafi sarcastically asked, “where is Sarkozy? He may be sleeping”! They said, “NATO is not helping us. Instead NATO is against us”.

Realizing the worldwide hostility towards US for its disastrous military invasions President Barack Obama put forward French President Nicolas Sarkozy to lead the killing and destruction mission in Libya. It is Libya’s turn to pay the price for the US -NATO conspiracy to turn this peaceful country into to yet another killing field, loot its oil wealth, set up a military bases to cover the Mediterranean and, from there, penetrate deep into Africa. In the process divide Libya as they had done in Iraq.

NATO military strikes

Hitting out at NATO’s failure to protect civilians, rebel commander Abdul Fatah Younis said two weeks after NATO military strikes, on April 6, 2011, that NATO forces failed to supply weapons. Hundreds of thousands of families fleeing for safety caused a humanitarian crisis. Their pathetic plight was nobody’s concern and neither United Nations nor any one spoke.

Innocent civilians fleeing for safety has become common sight in Libya as it happened from Bosnia and Kosovo to Afghanistan and Iraq. Libyans, some of whom were armed and trained for years by America in neighbouring African countries, are paying the price for trusting Americans and Europeans to bring them freedom and democracy.

Reiterating this view the rebel forces commander General Khalifa Hefter told Al Jazeera on Thursday that is three weeks since the so called military strikes and Gaddafi still has 1,400 tanks and enough of other sophisticated weapons. So called military strikes were nothing but skirmishes? There are plenty of trained professional fighters among pro democracy forces who lack weapons which the NATO failed to supply. He also accused Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika of supplying mercenaries to Gaddafi.

What is happening in Libya today resembles what happened in Iraq after the Kuwaiti war in 1991. For example, in the aftermath of the war George Bush Sr urged the Iraqi people to rise up and overthrow Saddam Hussein.

Encouraged by Bush’s verbal green light, a violent rebellion against Saddam’s regime broke out in the predominantly Shiite South and the Kurdish North.

However Bush refused to help and betrayed them when he helped Saddam Hussein to slaughter them warning Iran not to interfere in Iraq. Laurie Mylroie, a scholar at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said the US military presence in Southern Iraq and Saudi Arabia is like “the Red army outside Warsaw watching the slaughter of the Polish. Tens of thousands are being massacred in Iraq,” she said, “and the United States said nothing”.

UN Charter

This time also the US and NATO got their tool, United Nations Security Council, to legalize their interference by adopting Resolution 1973 on March 17, 2011 authorizing to take all necessary measures to protect civilians and impose ‘a no-fly zone’. However three weeks later even Britain and France accused NATO of its failure to protect civilians.

Some consider this resolution a flagrant violation of the UN Charter itself while others asked why no UN No Fly Zones on Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Israel. Perhaps they are useful tyrants? Their interests come first. Widely publicized gatherings in Qatar and Cairo, two most important centers of activities in the Middle East for Israel’s secret service Mossad and America’s CIA, are only to confuse and hoodwink the world.

Betrayed by Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy, Libyans fleeing Gaddafi’s forces carrying their belongings.

It appears both Gaddafi and the people have become victims of American, British and French conspiracies. Gaddafi played into their hands by his failure to listen to the genuine grievances of his people who pinned their hope on America to bring democracy and freedom.

The ultimate beneficiary of this carnage on oil rich Libya is the weapons industry, oil cartels, financial oligarchy and other corporate conglomerates which make and unmake Barack Obama, David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy who turned out to be more of their salesmen than rulers of their nations.

Judging from what happened since the collapse of former Soviet Union one thing has become clear.

That is invading Muslim countries, killing people there, destroying infrastructure and turning them into virtual graveyards has become good business for America, Britain and France.

The pro Jewish Western media, owned predominantly by conglomerates, mislead and prepare the world whilst politicians implement all these designs for their own benefit.

The unfortunate part is the ordinary people in the West who have no animosity towards Muslim countries have no say in the crimes committed by their leaders. Muslims are aware of it. Thus they do not hate the innocent and misguided people in the West.
