Action more than words

A lot of Sri Lankan and foreign students work hard to improve their
French at the L’Alliance Francaise de Kotte. The institute offers
different types of French courses and programs to motivate students to
learn the language effectively.

In the framework of the celebration of Franco phony, couple of
impressive musical shows were held recently at the Punchi Theatre,
organized by L’Alliance Francaise de Kotte with the support of the
Embassy of France in Colombo and Spedidam, the association which helps
French musicians in France and abroad. One French singer Celine
Caussimon too was present for the occasion.
The first show, Mrs C-sharp was extremely focused on small children
between 5 and 10. The second one, Le moral des was directed to the
French speakers, University students, students from public and
international schools.
Celine Caussimon introduced herself as a naturalist, writer, singer,
dancer and an actress who has been in love with stage throughout her
life.
She said that she is delighted to perform in front of children,
strangers and foreigners. She prefers to perform non-verbally via
actions and movements since she believes that actions are more
impressive than words.
Something that she tries to convince is that the language is not a
must to please an audience. She highly believes that expressions are
rather inspiring. Due to her ideas it is obvious that she loves to make
people laugh, especially when it comes to children. She has a sense of
humor which attracts little children.
Celine has been to many countries in the world for performance. Some
countries are Myanmar, Syria, Jordan, Canada and Sri Lanka. Three of her
albums are already released and many people around the world enjoy her
songs.

She said she is willing to travel more to perform in front of people
who love French.
Though she sings her own songs, she is interested in singing well
known French songs too especially for children. She feels that children
could be impressed by facial expressions and body language more than
words.
Celine loves to be in Sri Lanka, since she feels that people are very
kind and interested in learning French. She has considerable connections
with L’Alliance Francaise de Kotte and was invited to come to Sri Lanka.
She has found that there is a pretty different culture in Sri Lanka and
she says that it seems to be high-quality and people are kind and
friendly.
Celine has her own style of performing which is attractive and a bit
different.
She hopes to continue her performance while improving her talents.
She does not want to be framed into one field but she will do
whatever that makes people laugh and happy in the stage. We do wish her
to be more brilliant and to achieve her vital desire of pleasing people
more and more. |
