Sri Lanka's historical Nuwara Eliya Golf club is making all arrangements to conduct a series of golf matches with the participation of foreigners and locals during this April festive season here.

At the moment this club is chiefly being patronaished by foreigners who frequent largely with the excellent weather conditions prevailing here.

Big plans are ahead by the newly appointed Secretary who is a veteran planter and a sportsman KN Reinzie Perera, and whose ambition is to bring the Nuwara Eliya club to its old glory, and already the club has undergone a series of developments in the recent past under the stewardship of the committee under the chairmanship of Uumesh de Silva,and the members of staff, with a number of new wings being added to the ancient club house.

The Annual General Meeting of this glorious and historical club will be held on April 27 and plans are ahead by the committee members to make this club as one of the best clubs in the country with the increased patronage by foreign golfers at the moment.
