Agrahara wards at govt hospitals

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed the National Trust Fund
Authorities to establish Agrahara wards for government employees at all
hospitals.
The first of its kind was opened at the Dambagalla Hospital in
Moneragala during the Deyata Kirula Exhibition and has been a success.
NIIF Chairman Senaka Abeygunasekara said 13 such wards including the
Colombo South Hospital Kalubowila, Matara, Galle, Ragama, Ampara, Jaffna,
Kurunegala and Chilaw will be in operation shortly.
The government has allocated one million rupees to establish these
wards from the 2011 budget.
The State Engineering Corporation has been entrusted with the
construction. |
