Use water sparingly, Board urges consumers

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) yesterday requested consumers to use water sparingly during the New Year season to ensure equitable supplies to everyone.

The NWS&DB said although it provided the maximum capacity of water possible, there have been complaints from consumers in higher elevations not receiving water due to excessive use by consumers in lower elevations on account of the current dry spell.

The Board requested consumers to use water at a minimum level to ensure that water will be available for people in higher elevations too with adequate pressure.
