LOLC gets holding company approval

Lanka Orix Leasing Company PLC (LOLC) has received Central Bank approval to operate as the holding company instead of continuing as a finance leasing company, a Colombo Stock Exchange filing said yesterday.

With the series of strategic acquisitions or investments made in the financial sector as well as other high growth sectors such as leisure, construction, technology, agriculture and renewable energy, (LOLC) was granted approval by the Central Bank to operate as the holding company of the group to offer finance leasing products.
