Indices end marginally green

Dormant performances of Colombo bourse led its course yesterday with both indices ending marginally green. ASPI gained 18.83 points (+0.26%) to close at 7,378.73 while more liquid MPI gained 12.90 points (+0.18%) to close at 7,009.33.

Daily market turnover reached Rs.1.6 billion.

The 14 day RSI on the All Share Index was 55.14 (previous figure 53.96).

Tokyo Cement (Non-Voting) ended up as the top contributor to the turnover (Rs 141.1mn).

The counter recorded an off-the-floor deal of 1.2 shares at a price of Rs 49.30. Moreover counters such as Browns and Company Plc (Rs 135.7mn) and John Keells Holdings Plc (Rs 129.9mn) made significant contributions to the daily turnover.

Meanwhile Union Bank Plc, Lankem Developments Plc and Amana Takaful Plc attracted investor interest during trading.

Foreign participation remained to be 7.06 percent of the total market activity. At the end of the day foreign investors were the net buyers with net foreign inflow of Rs 18.3mn. Lanka Securities Research
