Create awareness on consumption efficiency
Prime Minister D M Jayaratne said there should be a project to give
an awareness to the people to make most of the electricity facility
granted to them. He aid that it was necessary to make a change in the
thinking of electricity consumers in the way of consumption electricity.

The Prime Minister made this observation at a function held at Doluwa
in Gampola to declare open a small-scale hydropower plant. This has been
constructed by the practical action institute to provide electricity to
all state institutions of the Doluwa town.
Action had been taken to provide electricity first to the Doluwa post
office. Opening the power supply for the post office Prime Minister
Jayaratne spoke of the need to make a conceptual change in the
electricity consumers to make them use power to the maximum. |
