Sathosa to purchase veggies from North

The Government has decided to purchase vegetables and paddy from Northern farmers through Sathosa branches to provide them at low rates to islandwide consumers during the festive season.

Co-operatives and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando said that the northern region has recorded bumper paddy and vegetable harvest during this period.
