LTTE drug trafficker arrested in Mumbai
India’s Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad has arrested a Sri Lankan
drug peddler, with suspected links to the LTTE from a hideout in Navi
Mumbai. The accused Rajan Silithuriya alias Rajan alias Kartik had been
picked up from his hideout in Kopar Khairane area of Navi Mumbai.
Maharashtra Police said that he had been shifting places in the
Mumbai suburbs for the last four years.
The man arrested has been declared as a wanted accused in connection
with 3 kgs of heroin seized at the Chennai International airport on
April 13, 2007, but had managed to flee from there.
The Chennai court has also issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
