Vietnamese baguette sandwiches, called Banh Mi, have attracted a loyal fan base and it will be the sought after because of the unique and delicious flavours at Mount Lavinia Hotel.

The uniqueness of these sandwiches not only lies within the French influenced baguette, but it's also the flavour packed, savoury Viet fillings that makes the marriage of the two main ingredients a true love affair. March 21 to the 26 are the dates the Governor's Terrace will be pungent with the aroma of the Various leftovers that would be tossed into the sandwich to finish them up (like a po' boy).

MLH will range its menu from chunked BBQ grilled pork, sliced pork pate and shredded grilled chicken, to grilled and smoked salmon, sardine, meatball, Chinese-style sausage, and even tripe are some of the ingredients. MLH's Viet style French baguette; with a combination of rice and/or wheat flour, resulting in a very light, crackly crust and not overly dense bread, will use the following condiments for the filling pickled julienned carrot, pickled julienned daikon radish, cilantro leaves and stalks, super-thin jalapeño slices, fresh sliced cucumber, and other fresh and organic ingredients.
