Your eyes can often be a true reflection of your own-self. It is amazing the way in which your eyes have the ability to reveal and reflect the exact physical or the mental state that you are in. The Iridology is one such medical technique which is designed specially to determine the vital information regarding patient's physical health after examining colour patterns and other characteristics of the iris.

Internationally certified Iridologist Michelle Jones says, "Your eyes are the mirror of your body."

With the information derived from a modern iris analysis, Michelle can provide simple and holistic solutions specially tailored for each individual's constitution. Michelle alongside with Barbara Avossa of Regina Margherita (Italian cuisine family flavours) down Park Road will launch a unique 28 day detox program with the intention of training people for healthier food habits.

The program titled, 'Detox 28' provides you with a chance of taking part in a detox program from the comforts of your home. During the four week period, under the guidance of Michelle, Regina will mix, mince, cook and bake your special meal and deliver it to your doorstep.

The premium program which goes for twenty eight days will kick off from May 1. A basic two week program will also take off from March 23. "Doing the 28 day program allows people to slowly adapt in to their new diet. The new lifestyle will change their health without causing undue physical or emotional stress. The stress is best avoided during a detox to ensure its maximum effects," Michelle added at the press briefing. Michelle is a fully certified member of the International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA), the only governing body for Iridology in the world. She is also affiliated with the New York Holistic Care Clinic in Seoul, Korea.

A well thought out Detox diet has the ability to purge the toxins and other harmful substances that can create adverse effects on your general wellbeing.

"Sometimes people don't know that a detox is necessary for better health. There is a basic list of physical symptoms that can identify the need for a detox. Dark circles under the eyes, yellow-coated tongue, bitter taste in the mouth, headaches/migraines,

irritability and moodiness, PMS, skin issues (acne, eczema, psoriasis, discoloration of the skin), allergies, reflux, bloating, poor metabolism, falling hair/hair loss, diarrhea, and constipation. These are just examples of symptoms that one can experience when there is toxicity in the body. A toxic body can get better and healthier with a good detox," Michelle expressed.

The program will be a unique and exclusive experience for those who are keen on maintaining their physical wellbeing.

"There is nothing of this kind available in Sri Lanka and even if they go to the health spas for a weekly detox, they will not be taught how to effectively continue a healthy program thereafter. Doing a month long-program will train you and allow you to just absorb all the information and live the healthy life for even after the program. Once you learn it and feel the difference, it is easier to keep up with a healthy lifestyle," Michelle stated.

Barbara Avossa from Regina Margharita is a great food connoisseur and she will make the specific menus for each individual under the guidance of Michelle. All the meals will be cooked following healthy Italian recipes and prepared only with extra virgin Italian olive oil.

"I have created a special menu to cater for the participants of this program taking into consideration all the requirements of a healthy meal. The food will be served in porcelain plates because eyes play an important role while eating. Michelle has seen and tasted the meals I have created and she has approved them for this program." Barbara said.
