Lankan girls take major honours

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) organized Girls under 14 International Football Festival was conducted with the participation of six countries, India, Bhutan, Jordhan, Palestine, Iran and Sri Lanka at Police Park on Monday.

Lankan girls dominated the festival by winning five matches drawing three and losing one game.

Sri Lanka National team played against Bhutan national team in the final match of the festival and beat them 3-0. Dharshika Madushani netted in the first goal while it was followed by Poornima's goal in the first half.

Although Bhutan dominated most of second half it was Krishanthi Lakshani who scored the only goal during this session to make it 3-0.

Sri Lanka A beat Jordhan A, (2-0), Palestine A (4-0) (and the B team) drew with Jordhan (0-0) lost to Iran B (2-0) Under 14 national team beat Palestine ( 3-0) and Bhutan (3-0) and drew with India (0-0).
