Flying start to Int'l schools soccer
The Inter International Schools soccer championship for the Ritzbury
trophy began on Monday with two girls matches and a boys match at
Campbell Park.
In the opening game saw one sided affair with Gateway College
dominating the whole game to crush Leighton International School seven
goals to nil. The high light during this game was that all seven goals
for winners coming through the boot of Rumali Herath.
The second game in the same category too was a high scoring game when
Colombo Overseasl School outplayed their rivals Colombo International
School six goals to two. Maheshi Dharmasiri (2), Saba rewald (2), Mo
Saksirivetkul (1) and Ayla Yurtaslan (1) scored for the winners.
In the boys section Colombo International School defeated Leighton
Park School three goals to one at the same venue. The scorers for the
winning team were Shafin Cutilan, Sanjay Ranasinghe and Rajivan
Somasunderam.
