Sparkling knock of 72 by Saranga

An entertaining knock of 72 with 6 sixes and 4 fours by Sri Lanka
under 19 cricketer Saranga Rajaguru for St Anthony’s College was the
highlight of their inter school cricket match against St Peter’s
College, Bambalapitiya which ended in a draw at Katugastota yesterday.
For the Peterites Shehan Fernando in course of his innings of 70 with
4 sixers and 5 fours off 42 balls reached 1000 runs for the season.
Antonian Skipper Hiran Wickramasekera made 45 in the second innings but
fell short by 29 runs to reach thousand runs in a season for the third
successive year.
Another cricketer who fell short of a milestone of 100 wickets
Antonians off spinner Aravinda Premaratne who has now taken 94 wickets
and needs another six to reach 100 wickets.
