A person with 172,000 mililitres of Goda was taken into custody by the Matara anti-corrupt unit when they detected a large scale kasippu brewing place in the Heendeliyawatte jungle.

In addition, the unit also detected five barrels and various equipment used in the brewing of kasippu.

The suspect has been handed over by the Anti-Corruption Unit to the Matara police and is due to be produced before the court today (16).
