Sri Lanka suspends mail delivery to Japan

Sri Lanka Post has suspended delivery of all mail to tsunami and earthquake affected areas in Japan.

The Post Master General said that Japan Post has informed Sri Lanka Post that all types of mail items to tsunami hit areas with the following postal codes should be suspended until further notice. The affected areas are Hokkaido, Aomori, Akita, Lwate, Miyagi,Yamagata, Fukushima and Ibarald with the postal codes of 00,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,30,31,96,98 and 99
