Year of secret assignments
Year of secret assignments When it comes to picking novels, most of
us would go for touching tear-jerkers. Some would hunt for thrillers,
or, most commonly, action and romance. But there are some who would like
to read nothing better than a stomach-tickling, laugh-out-loud story.
Let me say that there is a perfect book out there that will promise
tonnes of giggles and laughter. Especially for teens who are bored and
would like something new in their bookshelf other than Twilight or Harry
Potter.
The Year of Secret Assignments is a simply smashing book written by
none other than Jaclyn Moriarty, an Australian authoress. This book of
hers has been one bestseller in the continent of Australia and is famous
for its originality and uniqueness. Unique how, you may ask. Well, the
story is based on three friends of a girls-only high school.
They had been friends since they were quite young and now growing and
mature, they still stuck together. Every thing takes on a massive twist
when their English grammar teacher introduces a letter exchange program
with their rival school, a boys-only high school. At first they all
seemed a little skeptic.
But as they continue exchanging letters, they come to realize that
they don't have much of a difference and it all comes down to new
friendships, trust and a whole recipe for disaster and fun where they
learn how to depend on one another. And the entire plot is based on
paper conversations, exchanged letters, emails, diary entries, to-do
lists and many more including surprising twists to the tale. All in all
it's an awesome story that you would not want to decline. - Shenali
